College Students - Enter the Online Economy and Increase your Hustle Like a Boss with Amazon Prime
I know it is ridiculous, and I was only a community college dropout but I have done my research and done the math, and you can come out way ahead if you start your hustle out strong and get a reputation for being able to do amazing things.
You will be able to do amazing things, as long as you keep a tight reign on your business and remember to increase your money. You will be doing business with your friends, so you must stay professional or risk ruining your friendships or losing money because you are too nice. First off you will need a Venmo and some kind of Debit or Credit card. This is important because your customers may be short on cash always, but will be able to spend a little money on that credit card they just got, or the one that their parents gave them. You need to be able to accept as well as make payments. Remember you will be running a store pretty soon for all the rubes that come running through your dorm. Once your name gets out there, you can be the go to for all kinds of college needs.
So the good news is that you are already off to a head start, thanks to aggressive recruitment of students into credit cards and most importantly, Amazon Prime. Check this out:
For starters, the 6 month trial is free. So if you need to concentrate on your studies and fail to get your hustle off of the ground, you can always decide to bail out. Set a reminder, if you do. The great parts: Free two day shipping, streaming of music and video, and this one is a biggie: free unlimited photostorage.. Obviously you are going to be taking tons of pictures of your college life, and constantly filling up your device storage. This is a major hook for them to keep you year after year, but I am going to tell you. I have been in Amazon Prime for a decade and it rescued me when I joined and rescues me time and time again.
What is this part about the hustle? You are going to buy things that make you money. Lets concentrate on margins. You need to double your money on anything you hustle on or it will be a waste of time. You will need to do a little research here when building your store, but let me tell you what you can double your money with right away: iphone charging cables and headphones. If there is one thing that people lose and destroy it is charging cables. You get a 10 pack of those for like 15 bucks, sell them for 5 dollars apiece and you just made $35 dollars.
It doesn’t even take any thinking outside of the box to get this hustle started. There are enough items you can buy by the case and turn over for double your money that you can run a discreet store from your dorm room and not even get involved in selling anything shady. Being a guy I can think of so many little things to double my money on. Buy a case of rolling papers and sell them by the pack.
Don’t even get me started on the T-Shirt and Sock hustle, this has been a profitable one for years, but they take up valuable space.
Now ladies, you know about all of those little things that women need on a daily basis, and that just suck to run out of. This is not my specialty, but leave me some suggestions and I will update the article. I am going to guess the obvious things: hair stuff, stockings, but also the usual tech items that all college students consume. Now, I don’t want to be accused of pushing some kind of binary agenda, no this is an all identity hustle, but walks the fine line of hoing. Either way, if you got it going on and are fine, on fleek, all that, you need to start a wish list. You don’t even need to tell fools directly. Just post on your social media, check out my Wish List and not only can they buy it for you, it knows your address and will be shipped directly to you. I would advise having something in every price point, some people want to ball out and show you just how much they like you. You never know who is sitting on stacks on the low. Or, you may just be a good person and find a benefactor who knows how important these things are to a student. Make sure to have just as many practical items as head in the clouds type stuff, so you don’t seem like you are just stacking luxury items.
